Settlement day
The day you pay the rest of the price and the house becomes yours. Your lawyer handles the payment, and you get the keys.
The settlement date is set in your sale and purchase agreement. Before then, you do a pre-settlement inspection to check the house is in the condition you agreed to buy it in.
